Mesolithic tertiary mottled dark-grey/green/black flint blade. Some patination at distal end. Pronounced bulb of percussion on the ventral surface suggests the flake was removed from the core by hard hammer. There has been flaking on the dorsal at the proximal end to reshape it. There is retouch to the entirity of both medial edges. The concave edge has two notches worked into it at the proximal end. There is also a degree of retouch on both the proximal & distal ends. Flint flake which is irregular in shape. Both the bulb of percussion and ripples are visible. Large chips have been broken from the edges and it has not been retouched. It has been struck irregularly with a very hard blow, and this along with the 'crushed' edges indicates that the flake may have been struck in modern times. It has a smooth mid-grey patina.

A few small retouches on the sharp sides. Plump bulb with close and clearly visible compression rings. Eraillure on the bulb, flake triangular in section.

Small thumbnail scraper dating to the early Bronze Age, (2150-1500BC). The object is a pointed oval in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. The dorsal side has been worked and contains many facet and ridges. The outer edges have been retouched on each side of the implement. One half of the ventral side is flat and smooth while the other has been worked also. Bi-facial working is unusual for thumbnail scrapers so it was possibly being converted into another object such as an arrowhead also. The object is a clear, light brown in colour with a grey tip.

A post-medieval/modern gun-flint from a flintlock musket. The flint is rectangular in plan and cross-section with sloping edges to give it a trapezoidal side view. The flint is mid-grey in colour. The flintlock was introduced in the middle of the 16th century but it was not until the reign of William III that the flintlock became the main regulation firearm for the British Army.
