Complete flint blade of probable later Mesolithic date (6500BC - 3500BC). The flint tool is broadly sub-rectangular in plan and cross section. It is much thicker than most blades and the two long edges taper to a blunted point. The bulb of percussion is lost. The two long sides and the lower end of the blade have been retouched / reworked. The retouch is extensive on both long edges where both pressure and direct knapping have been used. Mesolithic tertiary mottled dark-grey/green/black flint blade. Some patination at distal end. Pronounced bulb of percussion on the ventral surface suggests the flake was removed from the core by hard hammer. There has been flaking on the dorsal at the proximal end to reshape it. There is retouch to the entirity of both medial edges. The concave edge has two notches worked into it at the proximal end. There is also a degree of retouch on both the proximal & distal ends. Dates from c10000 to c4000 BC. Length is 40mm, width 24mm, height 8mm, & weight 5.69g.

Flint implement dating from the Mesolithic to the Neolithic period, (8300BC-2100BC). The object is sub-oval in plan and D-shaped in cross section. On one face of the object the cortex remains. The opposite face is covered in irregular facets. The pebble has been split in two, the force of which has probably caused the irregular breaks. It is however possible that the object was also utilised as a tool. The object is toffee brown in colour.

A lithic implement of prehistoric date. The object is triangular in plan and is a light creamy brown colour. Ron Cowell, Curator of Prehistoric Archaeology, Museum of Liverpool notes: Triangular piece of miscellaneous-type flint I haven't seen much of in the region. There is some possible working around the thinner butt end, with a vertical break on the reverse side removing where the bulb of percussion may have been.
