1. Tertiary flint flake produced as a by-product of knapping. Light grey colour. No visible bulb of percussion or ripple marks on the ventral surface. Several flake scars on the dorsal suface suggests flake was removed as part of the general reduction process. Length 30mm, width 20mm, thickness 17mm, weight 5.45g 2. Waste flint chip produced as a by-product of knapping. Mottled grey flint with slight patination, 30% chalky coloured cortex. Narrow blade scar on dorsal surface. Shows signs of plough damage. Flint implement dating from the Mesolithic to the Neolithic period, (8300BC-2100BC). The object is sub-oval in plan and D-shaped in cross section. On one face of the object the cortex remains. The opposite face is covered in irregular facets. The pebble has been split in two, the force of which has probably caused the irregular breaks. It is however possible that the object was also utilised as a tool. The object is toffee brown in colour.

A post-medieval/modern gun-flint from a flintlock musket. The flint is rectangular in plan and cross-section with sloping edges to give it a trapezoidal side view. The flint is mid-grey in colour. The flintlock was introduced in the middle of the 16th century but it was not until the reign of William III that the flintlock became the main regulation firearm for the British Army. A lithic implement of prehistoric date. The object is triangular in plan and is a light creamy brown colour. Two pieces of white stone, of uncertain date: One piece is off-white with mottled brown and grey marks, and appears to have four thin lines tapering together, like the pattern of a bivalve shell.
