A good example of a late Neolithic to early Bronze Age 'horseshoe' type flint scraper. From the flat platform area at the top, the sides angle downwards, creating a roughly trapezoidal top section; the lower two thirds of the implement have rounded edges. A flint microlith of Mesolithic date. The artefact has been manufactured from part of a cut-down bladelet of roughly semi-circular section. From the slightly angled base the tool tapers in width and thickness, terminating in a pronounced point. Re-touching is limited to one of the vertical edges. Towards the base is a wide, shallow notch and above this is a slightly toothed area. The flint is a heavily patinated creamy-white colour. The tool measures 26.3mm long, 11.4mm wide and 4.9mm thick. The weight is 1.21g.

A flint microlith of Mesolithic date. The piece is incomplete, the angled bottom edge broken to reveal an unpatinated, and therefore relatively modern, break. The top point has also been lost relatively recently. The remaining tool has sides which converge towards the top and has a central arrise, creating a triangular section. Both vertical sides have been re-touched to create saw-like edges. The flint surface is a heavily patinated blueish-white colour. The tool measures 19.7mm long, 8.7mm wide and 2.5mm thick. The weight is 0.42g.

A flint microlith of probable early Mesolithic date (see Butler, 2005, p. 92). The lanceolate piece has a short horizontal edge at one end and two convex long sides which come to a point at the opposite end. Both long sides show evidence of having been retouched in places, probably for the purpose of blunting the edge. The flint surface is a very heavily patinated white. The tool measures 36.4mm long, 10.7mm wide and 4.1mm thick. The weight is 1.51g.

A re-touched flint flake of possible late Mesolithic to Neolithic date. The tool has been made from a triangular flake which increases in width from the proximal to the distal end. It is sub-triangular in section and has been finely re-touched along both long edges, including the deliberate creation of a wide notch. The flint retains an area of cortex and is mottled orange-brown in colour. The object measures 35.6mm long, 21.1mm wide and 8.2mm thick. The weight is 4.83g.

A Neolithic to early Bronze Age flint scraper. The tool has been made from a broad sub-oval flake which retains nearly all of its original cortex on the dorsal surface. Invasive re-touch has flattened the distal side and finer re-touch has been used along the edge. This re-touch extends to almost halfway down the vertical sides. On the convex ventral surface is a clear bulb-of-percussion and rippling. The flint is unpatinated and dark brownish-grey in colour. The tool measures 34.1mm long, 40.1mm wide and 12.1mm thick. The weight is 22.47g.

A Neolithic to early Bronze Age flint scraper. The tool has been made from a broad flake which has been worked to create a semi-oval form. The dorsal surface retains half of the original cortex, the other half having been removed and the curved edge serrated. Unusually, most of the working is confined to the flat distal end, where invasive re-touch has created an almost vertical face. At the centre of this edge is a notch.
