Collection of 22 prehistoric blades. 1) Distal end of a blade. Triangular in shape with a rounded tip. One ridge on dorsal surface, roughly parallel to the edges. Retouch on both edges. Opaque white patination. Length: 26.5mm; width: 19.4mm; thickness: 6.2mm; weight: 3.81g. 2) Proximal end of a blade. Triangular in shape. One central ridge on the dorsal surface. Retouch on both edges. Bulb of percussion and one errailure scar present though retouch has removed the majority of the striking platform to form the tip. Translucent black patination. A Prehistoric flint implement 47.9mm long, 22.9 mm wide, 6.9 mm deep and weighing 8.36 grams. The implement has three flake scars on the reverse and clear bulb and waves of percussion on the obverse. It has a grey/white patina and appears to have been made from poor quality flint. It is not possible to date the implement any closer than Mesolithic- Bronze Age. Other waster flakes were found in the area.

Mesolithic rejuvenation flake from a core knapped from light grey flint. There is a significant amount of scaring around the platform edge where flaking has been unsucessful, suggesting that this nodule of flint was struck off the core to form a new platform to work from, thus rejuventaing the core. Previous flakes have been removed from all surfaces of the rejuvenation flake, and impact ripples are evident extending out from the platform edge. The rejuvenation flake is 80.64mm long, 44.78mm wide and 33.54mm thick.

Mesolithic blade knapped from mid to light grey flint. There is some evidence of platform preparation at the proximal end, where there is also some scaring from the knapping process. There are short removals along one length of the dorsal surface. The ventral surface has impact ripples running along its length, however there is no blub of percussion. The blade has a triangular cross section, and is slightly curved in profile. It is 65.94mm long, 15.61mm wide and 8.02mm thick.

Narrow Mesolithic blade or piercer knapped from mid grey flint. There is a central arrise running down the length of the dorsal surface, with some flaking scars where previous flakes have been revmoved. The edges of the implement have been retouched. The blade has a Triangular cross section. The proximal end has scaring from the knapping process. The distal end has been retouched to a point, thus the implement may have been used as some form of piercer or a multi-functional tool. It is 74.7mm long, 9.83mm wide and 4.93mm thick.

Mesolithic blade knapped from mid grey flint. The dorsal surface has two parallel arrises along its length. Both long edges of the dorsal surface have been retouched with short removals to create a serrated edge. The ventral surface has a slight bulbar scar, with impact ripples running along the length of the blade. The distal end has been snapped, and there is some damage to the proximal end. The blade is 66.29mm long, 18.88mm wide and 3.36mm thick.

Incomplete Mesolithic blade or worked flake knapped from light grey flint. 10% of the dorsal surface is covered in natural cortex. There is a central arrise along the dorsal surface, with long removals to either side. The distal end has been retouched to form a slightly curved end. The ventral surface is smooth, there is no evidence of a bulb of percussion or impact ripples. The proximal end has been snapped or struck off as there is some impact scaring in this area. It is 55.23mm long, 23.16mm wide and 9.68mm thick.

The ventral surface is smooth, with no evidence of retouch around the edges. There is some slight scaring towards the proximal end. The scraper is 56.99mm long, 46.56mm wide and has a maximum thickness of 15.4mm.

Mesolithic notched blade knapped from mid to dark grey flint. There are two parallel arrises along the length of the dorsal surface. There is a notch on one edge, towards the distal end, and the blade has then been worked into a curve with serrated edges up to a point at the distal end. The other edge of the blade has no evidence of retouch. The ventral surface is damaged towards the proximal end and has flaking scars from the knapping process. There are a few impact ripples along the surface. It is 55.22mm long, 19.56mm wide and 4.66mm thick.

Mesolithic single platform blade core knapped from light cream-grey flint. The core has a wide, flat platform with flakes removed from all edges. There is impact scaring around the platform edge where the flakes have been knapped. One of the removed blades or flakes is likely to have had a hinge fracture at the distal end, based on the shape of removal on the core (see reverse photograph). The core is 43.04mm long, and it is 41.17mm by 32.16mm wide.

Mesolithic multiplatform core knapped from light grey-cream flint. Flakes have been removed from all surfaces of the core and there is no natural cortex surviving on the surface. The surface is extremely scared along one edge where knapping of flakes may have been unsuccessful. The surface of the flint is covered in impact ripples where flakes have been removed. There is a small amount of iron staining on the surface of the flint. There is some dull brown patination around the iron staining. The core is 62.92mm long, 59.08mm wide and 40.67mm thick.
