A large D-shaped flint scraper of uncertain date possibly Late Bronze Age to Iron Age c1000-0BC. Description: The scraper is formed from a large D-shaped flint and rather than being a worked flake is a bifacially worked 'core tool'. It is itrangular in cross-section with the base being rounded. The scraper has been shaped by hard hammer flaking and has a scraping edge along its flat edge. The retouch can be dsecribed as invasive scaled semi-abrupt. There is more retouch along one of the faces partially parralel to the scraping edge which has been carried out to blunt this edge. The…
