A human worked piece of flint derived from a small round section beach pebble. It has been strongly but quite slowly heated by fire to an orangey red colour with dark red remaining cortex. Only a thin but complete circumference of this is left as both ends of the pebble are missing. This may have been mostly from spalling but it is possible that some pecking also removed the hackly and brittle internally crazed flint.
