A flint end scraper most commonly found in the early neolithic era (c.4300 BC - c2000 BC). The end scraper is made up of grey flint that is more highly patinated in some areas where it is an off white colour with occasional orange patches from iron products in the soil. It has a semi-glossy patina. It is sub rectangular in plan and trapezoidal in cross section with the left and right edges angling outwards from the short proximal edge to the wider distal edge which is convex. The dorsal face demonstrated at least one earlier flake removals whilst the ventral face shows …

A complete end scraper dating to the Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age. The scraper is struck off a tertiary flake made of medium grey flint with occasional white patches. It has a semi-glossy patina. The scraper is sub-rectangular in plan and trapezoidal in cross section with the left and right edges angling outwards from the short proximal edge to the wider distal edge which is convex. This distal edge has short parallel, semi abrupt retouch on its dorsal face. The dorsal face also demonstrates at least four earlier flake removals. The ventral surface shows some…

A complete end scraper dating to the Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age. The scraper is struck off a secondary flake with thin, off white pebble cortex, made of medium grey flint with occasional white patches. It has a semi-glossy patina. The scraper is sub-circular in plan and trapezoidal in cross section with a wide distal edge which is convex. This distal edge has short parallel, semi abrupt retouch on its dorsal face. The dorsal face also demonstrates at least three earlier flake removals. The ventral surface shows some retouch at the proximal en…

One flake of flint debitage of Mesolithic to Neolithic date (c. 8000 - 2400 BC). The piece is a tertiary piece of flint that is a medium brown colour with dark brown patches with a semi glossy patina.  The flake is trapezoidal in plan with irregular edges. The piece has at least three earlier flake removals on its dorsal surface struck in the same direction as this flake, while the reverse has none. It appears to have been truncated by a transverse removal at its base. There are no signs of retouch The flake is 36.8mm long, 21.8mm wide, 4.73mm thick and weighs 4.75…

The dorsal face shows at least four earlier flake removals, and a small bulb of percussion. The core has a mid brown patina with patches of off white on the dorsal and ventral faces.  The core is 43.5mm long, 45.1mm wide, 17.2mm thick, and weighs 30.2 grams.
