A complete flint retouched flake of Palaeolithic date. The flake has been made from a yellowy-beige flint using hard hammer percussion. The bulb and platform are visible along with some soft-hammer retouching along the left lateral edge. This piece is hard to date as its execution is generally undiagnostic, however it is potentially Palaeolithic (c. 450,000-10,000 BC).

The scraper has been made on a tertiary flake of a mottled dark brown flint, lighter at the edges where the flint is thinner. The scraper retains the platform and bulb of percussion. There is invasive retouching around both lateral edges and the distal surface, all of which is restricted to the dorsal side.

An incomplete struck flint tanged and barbed arowhead dating to the Beaker / Early to Middle Bronze Age period, c. 2350 - 1800 BC. The arrowhead has been made from a tertiary flake of a heavily patinated white / mottled light grey flint. There is invasive retouch over all surfaces including the tang and remaining barb. The arrowhead has suffered severe damage or sharp break diagonally from the tip down and through one barb, the resulting break being clean and heavily patinated. There are some iron staining spots on the surface of the arrowhead.

Complete barbed and tanged arrow head of early Bronze Age date c.2200-1800 BC. The arrow head is of a light grey opaic flint of unpatinated dark grey flint with paler inclusions. It is ogival in plan and the face is covered by hammer struck retouch marks. The left-hand tang (when viewed from the dorsal face, point up) has been broken and reworked resulting in a minor discrepancy between barb lengths, or it is just difficulty with working a rather thick part of the initial flake blank. A near-complete early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead, dating to the period c. 2200 - 1500 BC. The arrowhead has been made from a tertiary flake of light grey-blue flint now patinated to a cream colour with orange/brown iron staining. The tang and both barbs survive and retouch is evident of both the distal and dorsal surfaces. There is an area of damage to one side of the arrowhead, possibly caused through contact with another stone/ rock in the watery environment in which it was found.

A fragment of a polished flint axehead dating to the Neolithic period (c. 4000-2500 BC). The axehead has been very badly damaged, with mechanical damage evident. The remains of the axe comprises most of the cutting edge, which is beautifully polished and still sharp, and also a length of either the dorsal or ventral side. The breaks are jagged and sharp.

A complete Post-Medieval knapped chert, gun-flint c. 1600 - 1850 AD. The flint is close to a perfect square, typically flat to the ventral side with the topmost dorsal side knapped into a wedge form with numerous flake scars. Viewed from the side, it forms an irregular polygon. The material is a grey chert with irregular small white angular inclusions. It measures 20.2mm x 19.32mm and 0.9mm deep, weighing 4.2gm.

A complete Mesolithic flint adze or pick, dating from c. 10,000 to c. 3500 BC. This adze has been made on an elongated flint nodule of a mottled dark grey flint, now patinated white / light grey with evidence of recortification. Being broadly triangular in section this object can be described as a pick as well as an adze. The butt is squared in plan, the side taper gently and evenly towards the tip which is rounded. The adze is worn but is in good condition overall, with an area of post-depositonal damage around the butt.

The bulb and platform are absent. There are three previous thin bladelet removals on the dorsal surface, and right lateral edge shows some soft-hammer retouching. There is also modern damage evident and the patina suggests the flake has been on the surface and exposed to the elements for some time.
