A Neolithic (4000 - 2350BC) flint scraper, 47.6mm in length, struck from a light grey tertiary flint flake. The flake has a clear bulb of percussion on the ventral surface with clear ripple marks. The striking platform is concave. The dorsal surface has a large flake removal scar. There is short, abrupt and scaled retouch evident around the edges.

A complete but slightly damaged struck flint end and side scraper of later Neolithic or Early Bronze Age date (2300 -1800BC). The scraper is broadly D-shaped in pland and section and is formed on a tertiary flake of mottled light and dark grey flint; flake scars on the dorsal surface show previous removals. The platform has suffered post-depositional (weathering) damage and most of the bulb scar has been removed / is missing, however the percussion lines are retained on the ventral side. The dorsal surface bares soft-hammer retouch along c.60% of the left lateral, irregularly around t…

A complete struck flint horseshoe scraper of later Neolithic or Early Bronze Age date (2300 -1800BC). The scraper is broad and sub-rectangular in plan and sub-oval shape in profile with a D-shaped section. The scraper is formed on a tertiary flake of dark grey flint with the nose of the scaper located at the ventral end. The platform has therefore been removed however percussion lines are evident on the ventral surface. There is also a hinge-like fracture at the distal end. The dorsal surface bares invasive, stepped, semi-abrupt retouch around the curved lateral and proximal edges; th…

A flint nose scraper on a plunging blade from a double platformed core, therefore of Mesolithic or Neolithic date (c. 8000-2400 BC). The object is formed on a tertiary flake of a mottled grey flint. There are three, if not more, two-directional removals visible on the dorsal surface; although neither platform survives, this is indicitive of a double platformed core. The thinner distal end has some fine soft hammer retouch on its tip which has lead to its identification as a nose scraper, however this may also have been the result of removal or preperation of the platform. This is prob…

Two flint scrapers, probably dating from the late Neolithic to the Bronze Age. Both scrapers are made on tertiary flakes and have steep soft hammer retouching at the dorsal distal end and down laterals. Both of these tools have been damaged post-deposition and are missing portions. The colour of the flint varies from a light to mottled grey brown. These objects are part of a larger collection from what appears to be a multiphase site.

A collection of three poorly-executed flint scraper, dating from the Early to Middle Bronze Age. Two are made on secondary flakes while the third is made on a tertiary flake. All have hard hammer retouching at the dorsal distal end and some limited retouch down at least one lateral. The larger flake, or really a chunk, is the most crudely manufactured of the three. These objects are part of a larger collection from what appears to be a multiphase site.

An unfinished flint scraper, probably dating from the Mesolithic to Neolithic period. The scraper is made on tertiary flake, and has little soft-hammer retouch on the dorsal distal end and lateral; it has been suggested that this is a tool in production, as the retouch is not finished. It is also possible that the flake was discarded or rejected during manufacture. The colour of the flint varies from a light to mottled grey-blue. These objects are part of a larger collection from what appears to be a multiphase site.

A collection of three end-scrapers, dating to the Mesolithic period. Two of the scrapers are complete while a third is truncated. All three are made on secondary flakes and all have steep soft hammer retouching at the dorsal distal end. The colour of the flint varies from mottled blue-grey to brown. This style of scraper is usually associated with the Mesolithic period, dating from c. 10,000 - 4000 BC. These objects are part of a larger collection from what appears to be a multiphase site.

Three flint scrapers dating from the later Neolithic to Early/Middle Bronze Age (c. 2400-1600 BC). All three scrapers are made from a calcified blue-grey flint, all retain the platform and bulb. All have soft hammer retouch at the distal end and part way down both dorsal laterals, with one scrpaer being less reworked than the other two. The ventral surfaces are not retouched. These objects are part of a larger collection from what appears to be a multiphase site, with these scrapers being some of the later examples, most likely Early Bronze Age in date (c. 2350-1600 BC).
