A transverse or oblique arrowhead dating to the later Neolithic period (c. 4000-2350 BC). Made from a light grey and white flint (tertiary flake), covering scalar retouch leaves distinction between dorsal and ventral faces uncertain. There is also post-depositional damage on both surfaces and all edges. The colour of the flint and the white patina suggests a chalk downland source for the raw material. Suggested date: Late Neolithic, 2700-2350 BC.
