An incomplete post-medieval gunflint, made from a dark brown/black tertiary flint flake. The gunflint is broadly wedge-shaped in section and would have been square or rectangular in plan before the post-depositional damage. The gunflake has retouch around all extant edges, the retouch being hard and direct with a scaled appearance. The wedge end of the gunflint is completely retouched, however the dorsal back surface is unworked.
