Five prehistoric worked flints recovered from the same area. The flints are Neolithic to early Bronze Age in date. One flint is a scraper on a flake, exhibiting retouch along both lateral edges and the distal end. It measures 31.31 mm long 26.18 mm wide, 10.05 mm thick and weighs 10.1 grams. There is a conchoidal fracture radiating from a point towards the distal end of the ventral face - possibly a weak point at which the flint fractured. An aris runs down the centre of the dorsal face. A collection of twenty-nine knapped flint waste flakes or debitage, probably dating to the Neolithic period between 4000 – 2200 BC (collective weight: 117.57g). None of these flakes/ debitage appear to have a bulb of percussion or radial scars visible, although ripples or ‘lunettes’ are evident on most pieces indicating the force of the striking or knapping and some have multiple arrises. Additionally, there is little evidence of finer knapping along the surfaces of the flakes in order to produce a sharper working edge.
