A group of four pieces of flint debitage of probable Mesolithic to Neolithic in date (c. 8000- 2400 BC).
Two pieces are secondary flakes and the other two are tertiary flakes. One of the secondary flakes is a medium brown-grey flint with frequent grey patch inclusions (c.5.7mm) that has most of its ventral surface covered in a thin brown cortex. The remaining three flakes have a creamy white patina with occasional grey mottling. The three white flakes show linear narrow blade removals from their dorsal face, all struck in the same direction as the flakes themselves. Two flakes re…

One flake of flint debitage of Mesolithic to Neolithic date (c. 8000 - 2400 cal BC).
The piece is a secondary piece of flint that is mostly a matte white colour with occasional orange and brown small inclusions. Only a small portion of thin off white mottled cortex survives on the side of the flake's dorsal surface.
The flake is sub-rectangular in plan with irregular edges. The piece has at least four earlier flake removals on its dorsal surface struck in the same direction as this flake. The reverse has none. At the proximal end of the ventral surface a shallow bulb of perc…

A damaged flint flake of later prehistoric date (probably Mesolithic to Neolithic date, c.10,000 - 2,400 BC). The flake has been made from a tertiary striking of a mottled light grey flint using hard hammer percussion. The bulb and platform are present. The flake has a hinge fracture on the right edge, and there is weathering and modern damage over all surfaces. The patina suggests the flake has been on the surface and exposed to the elements for some time.
