Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
A possible flint scraper of Mesolithic to early Bronze Age date (c. 9600 - 2350 BC).
The object is roughly trapezoidal in plan and was made from a secondary flake, given that up to 10% of the surface is covered by an area of cream coloured cortex. The flint is cream coloured. There appears to be a platform, a blub of percussion, and some bulb scars on the proximal edge of the ventral face, as well as there being ridges on the dorsal face. There may be some slight abrupt retouch on the distal edge of the dorsal face.

Object type: RETOUCHED FLAKE
Broad period: UNKNOWN
County: Warwickshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
A flint retouched flake, probably a debitage flake, with some damage and previous removals, of unknown date, from the Mesolithic to Bronze Age, 10000 BC - 1000 BC. On the dorsal face, there are three long blade removals. There is also a small area of short retouching. A white cortex is present at the proximinal end near the edge of the striking platform.
The flint doesn't look like a tool, but it does have some retouch and evident flake removals.
Measurements: length 73.8mm, width 32.4mm, thickness 10.8mm, weight 32.7 grams

Object type: BLADE
Broad period: MESOLITHIC
County: Warwickshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
An incomplete curved flint blade of Mesolithic to Neolithic date (c. 8000-2000 BC). It is made from a secondary flake of a pale buff to light grey coloured flint. There are remnants of the cortex on the dorsal face near the proximal end. There appears to be damage at the proximal end, since there is a slight fracture approximately 1.1mm long going from right to left on the ventral face 3.62mm up the blade, suggesting perhaps some form of damage in antiquity that removed part of the proximal end, especially since there is no retouching around this area. There are ripples emana…

The left hand barb is chipped whilst the right is still intact. Both the long sides of the arrowhead have been precisely retouched to create sharp edges. The tip of the arrowhead appears to have broken away. On both&nbs…

Object type: LEAF ARROWHEAD
Broad period: NEOLITHIC
County: Warwickshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
An incomplete Neolithic flint 'leaf' arrowhead (c. 4000 BC-c. 2350 BC).
It is difficult to establish the original shape of the arrowhead due to the proximal and distal ends being damaged and incomplete. The arrowhead has been bifacially worked from a tertiary flake. The retouch is covering, scaled and low angled. The flint is a translucent cream/brown colour.
The arrowhead measures 27. 2 mm in length, 18.6 mm in width, 3.8 mm in thickness and weighs 2.2 grams.
