A probable piece of flint debris, dating to the Neolithic period between c. 4000-2200 BC (30.1mm x 41.8mm; thickness: 10.9mm; weight: unknown). The dorsal side is mostly covered by the outer cortex, with one main arise. The dorsal side, however, shows the bulb of percussion very clearly with a slight eraillure scar below. There are distinctive ripples or ‘lunettes’ radiating from the bulb. There does not seem to be any areas of particular re-touch.

A probable flint button scraper (21.9mm x 21mm; thickness: 7.4mm; weight: 4.00g). The bulb of percussion with scars is clearly visible on the ventral side with faint ripples or ‘lunettes’ radiatting outwards. On the dorsal side, there are small multiple arrises with extensive re-touch or pressure flaking down the right side and at the bottom at a sharp gradient, indicating that this artefact was probably a scraper.

There is one main arise down the centre of the dorsal, with ripples or ‘lunettes’ radiating down one side particularly. This artefact dates to the Neolithic period between 4000-2200 BC.

Five probable flint scrapers (collective weight: 27.49g) with clear evidence of re-touch along particular edges at a sharp steep gradient. Some pieces have been struck a number of times on the dorsal side creating multiple arrises, with the bulb of percussion only clear visible on one example. A small area of the cortex or original surface of the flint is visible on all pieces.

Five pieces of probable flint debris (collective weight: 19.35g) with clear evidence of being knapped (some with multiple arrises on the dorsal side), but not necessarily re-touched as most of the edges are already sharp enough to be possibly used as a tool. On one piece, the bulb of percussion is visible and most of the pieces illustrate knapped or pressure areas where ripples or ‘lunettes’ occur.

The broken remains of a probable blade (15.8mm x 13.9mm; thickness: 3.1mm; weight: 0.77g). On the ventral side, there are faint traces of the ripples or ‘lunettes’ illustrating the pressure of impact, as well as other scars or scratch marks which run in the opposite direction. These marks may have been caused by recent damage while deposited in the ground. Addtitionally, there is a small area of re-touch along one end. On the dorsal side, however, the flint has been knapped more than once (with one main arrise) with small areas of re-touch along the surface edges. The re-touch…

Two pieces of flint debris or waste (collective weight: 1.10g). The bulb of percussion (the primary knapping point) is visible on the ventral side with an eraillure scar slightly to an angle from this feature. There have been several hits to the dorsal side creating two or more arrises, but small indication of re-touch along the edges. Neither of the pieces appear to have been broken. These artefacts date to the Neolithic period between 4000-2200 BC.

Five pieces of flint debris or waste (collective weight: 8.28g). On most of these pieces, they have been a number of times on the dorsal side creating multiple arrises as well as some having ‘re-touched’ surfaces on the ventral side particularly. However, there is no indication that these pieces were in the process of being made into a particular tool.

Four flint debris or waste (microliths?) (lengths ranging from 23-33mm; collective weight: 4.32g). All of them have been struck once or twice on the dorsal to create one main arrise, including some evidence of re-touch on two of the artefacts. On the ventral side, the ripples or ‘lunettes’ or clearly visible illustrating the force of the impact. Probably dating to the Mesolithic period between 8000-4000 BC.

A knapped two-edged probable flint blade, broken at both ends (length: 29.1mm; width: 20.1mm; thickness: 5mm; weight: 3.80g). This flint has been re-touched heavily on the dorsal side to either side of the artefact’s length to create sloped sharp edges. There are no specific arrises on the dorsal due to the large amount of pressure flaking. The breaks at either end could well be recent. Ripples or ‘lunettes’ are clearly visible running down the ventral, illustrating the force and impact when the flake was struck. This blade dates to the Neolithic period between 4000-2200 BC.
