Five tertiary waste flakes / debitage of Neolithic or early Bronze Age date (2500 - 1800 BC). Four of the flakes are irregular in shape, the fifth is sub rectangular. All demonstrate either a clear bulb of percussion, conchoidal ripples, or flaking scares. There is some retouch along the edges, turning the debitage flakes into scrapers. One consists of primary debitage, with more than 50% of the surface being covered by the cortex (outer rind). The other two are tertiary debitage, with little or no cortex (outer rind) present. Evdience for working consists of a clear bulb of percussion and controlled conchoidal fracturing. There is evidence of uncontrolled fracturing and plough roll, probably from movement in the soil. Two tertiary waste flakes / debitage of Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date (3000 - 1800 BC). Both are a mid brown colour and have an irregular plan. A series of varying sized flake facets are present on the outer (dorsal) faces. Along some of the edges, is evidence of reworking but this could be due to plough roll and movement in the soil. Together they weigh 4.0 grams. 1. Measures 19.14mm length, 19.54mm width, 3.88mm thick and weighs 2.2 grams. 2. Measures 24.82mm lengthm 13.23mm width, 5.77mm thick and weighs 1.8 grams.

An irregular fragment of a flint core, used for the production of blades of Mesolithic date (6500 - 3500 BC). It is sub square in plan and D shaped in cross section. One striking platform appears to be present but the core fragment has suffered badly from movement in the soil and plough roll, as there are a significant number of uncontrolled flaking scars present. It is dark grey in colour and a small amount of cortex (outer rind) is present on the distal end of the fragment. It measures 25.32mm length, 29.51mm width, 13.79mm thick and weighs 11.1 grams.

This is a probable Neolithic flint scraper. The ventral side has a very clear bulb of percussion with a pronounced cone emanating from the point of percussion on the striking platform. Ripples then radiate across the whole ventral surface. The ventral side also exhibits direct normal retouch down both left and right edges. Six pieces of struck flint; at least three of which suggest tertiary waste from tool making. The other three exhibit irregular flake scars and hinge fractures which might suggest natural frost damage rather than working. One flake is burnt; all flakes are low grade flint common in tool assemblages from the marches. The dorsal face show several long flake scars. The long edges and the blunt end have been heavily reworked with relatively neat and regular facets. The flint is a grey colour with a series of flaws and different coloured areas in the matrix. The flint blade measures 16.7mm length, 15.2mm width, and 5.4mm thick; it weighs 1.82 grams.
