A flint blade of possible Mesolithic to early Neolithic date (9000 to 3300 BC). The object is dark grey semi-translucent flint with a light covering patina. It is sub-retangular in shape and sub-triangular in cross section. It is a secodary working with 15% cotec running centrally along the dorsal face. The dorsal face has one long flake removal scarrunning half the length and ending in a hinge fracture. The right hand edge has long,parallel,low angle retouch along its length. A flint blade of possible Mesolithic date. This a flake of pale brown semi translucent flint which has a heavy white patination suggesting a long period in the ground after production. The dorsal face has two long arrises where sub parallel flakes were removed prior to the final separation from the original core.
