It is made of a pale semi- transluscent flint with some inclusions. It is slightly flatter on one side then the other, and the tip of one of the barbs is missing. Having been found near a beach it has been worn so no sharp edge remains, but the shape is consistent. Arrowheads such as these, see also NMGW-24C12C, are classified as Sutton Type B (Green 1980) are commonly associated with the emergence of the Beaker phenomenon in Britain.

7 complete and incomplete microliths, all with short abrupt retouch along one or both sides and ranging in length from 9.9mm to 22.6mm. Size and form suggest a later Mesolithic date. Identifiable types include: an obliquely blunted scalene triangle and a curved point with retouch to one side of the base, possibly another incomplete obliquely blunted scalene triangle (Clark Group A; Jacobi 1a)); 4 backed or rod types (Clark Group B; Jacobi Group b, 5-7), 3 with with abrupt retouch along one side and 1 with abrupt retouch along both sides, the latter also calcined due to exposure to fire; 1 incomplete triangular or rod type.
2 conical blade cores with single striking platforms; a large worked out core (44.8mm x 43.8mm x 41.7mm and 83.07g) and a small core of grey flint (31.9mm x 21mm x 19.9mm and 16.41g).
A core rejuvenation / trimming flake of dark grey flint, 55.9mm in length.
33 identifiable (unretouched) blades, bladelets and fragments, between 9.7mm and 47mm in length weighing c. 32g in total.
Around 180g of nodule reduction debitage.

The core is triangular in shape with parallel removal scars around half of its circumference. A patch of grey-brown cortex remains down one side. The other has a single large removal scar with battering damage and small flaked removals around the edge, running off it one side perpendicular to the striking platform and partially overlying it. This suggests a secondary use for the core, possibly as a hammer.6633-8500-54004SUR2023-09-09T00:00:00Z2024-03-19T12:37:03Z2024-03-19T14:59:28Z96PAS65F986EF00150236.137.557.21101441541428414411099111127Greater London AuthorityWandsworthThamesfieldTQ247551.46040223-0.21650964bands.shops.handy10SUR-98718DFlint10837Knapped/flakedCompleteMESOLITHICx14235LateLateMESOLITHICx14235x14235MudlarkingReturned to finderSUR-986EF5_65f9a83ae9a18.jpg1268550images/smaslin/LondonCertain12024-03-19T14:59:28.122Zfinds-11562021156202SUR-9841DELITHIC IMPLEMENTBRONZE AGEA flint piercer made from a fragment of brown flint, 47.6mm in length and of Bronze Age date.
