A  Lower Palaeolithic bifacial flint handaxe of Acheulean tradition dating to c. 500,000 to 250,000 BC. This is a 'ficron' type handaxe which belongs to the Middle Acheulean tradition. An almost complete barbed and tanged arrowhead of Green, H.S. (1980) Sutton type dating to the Early Bronze Age 2500 - 1500 BC. The barbs are incomplete, and the tip of the arrowhead is missing, otherwise the arrowhead is in good condition.  The flint is glossy, dark brown, both faces are completely covered with invasive pressure flaking scars that overlap in the middle of each face, a larger flake scar on one side may indicate trace of original flake blank which the arrowhead was knapped from. Flint, light-grey with white inclusions, opaque, a very small patch of cortex remains, medium gloss patina. Sub-oval in plan, but more pointed at the proximal end and rounded at the distal end. Secondary working. The proximal end exhibits the striking platform. The distal end exhibits invasive, scaled, semi-abrupt retouch. Length 42.51mm, width 21.69mm, thickness 11.11mm, weight 10.38g.
