A chert pebble that has been broken and used as a polishing stone or burnisher. The back of the stone is fractured. The front is the working face and has been polished to a perfectly flat surface. The sides are rounded and are probably water worn; the original sides of the pebble. The tool is 85.5mm long, 58.3mm wide and 31.1mm thick. It weighs 191.9g. The stone is light grey in colour. Some similar stones have been recorded on the PAS database. NARC-5F4FD3 was interpreted as a linen smoother.
