A flint blade. A tertiary flake of mid grey-flint with a low-gloss patina. There is a small striking platform at the proximal end. On the ventral face is a well-defined bulb of percussion and several waves. On the dorsal face are several elongate, parallel flaking scars creating a trapeziodal cross section. There is edge-gloss along part of one long edge on the ventral face, probably from use of the blade. Date: Neolithic to Early Bronze Age Dimensions: 52 mm x 23 mm x 7 mm Weight: 10 g

The flake is a elongated and has a trapezoidal shaped section. The flint is covered with a patina, however at the proximal end there are a number of strikes which form a 'scraper' end which removes the patina. It is uncertain whether this is intentional or accidental.
