A lithic thumb nail scraper of Neolithic date (circa 3500 - 2100 BC) designed to be held between your thumb and forefinger. It has been finely knapped. The object is oval in shape and sub-rectangular in section although the depth tapers from one end of the object to the other. The curved edge showing signs of extensive retouch and working. The retouch is shallow. The striking platform and bulb of percussion both survive and ripples of percussion can clearly be seen. The flint is a mid reddish-brown colour with some lighter flaws.

A complete lithic thumb scraper of Neolithic date designed to be held between your thumb and forefinger. The object is roughly tear drop shaped in plan and sub-ovate in section.
