Brown flint debitage. A thin dentiform flake with broad flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a bulb at the broader end of the ventral surface adjacent to a striking platform. A notch on the concave long edge is formed by short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral aspect and may point to an ephemeral function as a shaft straightener. A dense creamy patina overall suggests a subsequent period of exposure to a calcareous environment, though also resembling the surface of even older - Mesolithic - material reported by the finder from the vicinity. Suggested date: possibly Neolit…

A flint blade probably of Neolithic date dating c. 4000 - 2200 BC. A tertiary flake knapped from brown black flint, one end is triangular in section, the other is trapezoidal in section. A low bulb of percussion and feint ripples suggest soft hammer working. The long edges are knicked from post-depositional damage with no evidence of retouch.  Measurements: length 35.89mm, width 16.36mm, thickness 5.93mm, weight 4.32g. The blade width suggests this is probably more likely to be of Neolithic date rather than Mesolithic.

A complete flint Scraper/Debitage of Neolithic to Bronze Age date (3450-800 BC). The object is and elongated sub-spatulate in plan and is bi-convex in section. The dorsal surface has covering almost cortex, while the ventral surface has extensive recortification and a minor amount of cortex within the mesal portion. The proximal end has been abruptly blunted. The distal, left- and right-hand edges have semi-abrupt retouch. There is a single negative scar situated along the proximal right-hand edge. The lithic retains a large amount of cortex and is therefore a primary flake. …
