A possible burin formed on a crude blade of white flint. Unknown date, Mesolithic to Bronze Age (10,000 - 1000 BC). It is unclear where the flint was struck from. The faces are uneven, and most have a stepped termination scar. One end of the blade is much narrower and thinner. One side of this projection has short, abrupt, sub-parallel retouch, possibly to form a burin. There appears to be a removal across the end of the spur from the retouched edge. Early Palaeolithic to early Neolithic flint truncation burin, 40000 - 2701BC. 40mm in length, 12mm wide and 4mm thick with a weight of 2.5grams. The object is sub rectangular in form and triangular in cross section. It has a light grey opaque patina, with bi-directional blade. Its distal end is truncated, then burin spall has been removed.

Grey flint with grey cortex, possibly collected from the East Coast, burin, as kindly identified by the finder, who is informed on this point by the kind advice of Bill Bee. A thin sub-triangular flake with flakes removed from one side of the dorsal face by hard hammer strike, and with a bulb at one corner of the ventral side. A probable flint burin dating from the Upper-Palaeolithic to early Neolithic date, although earlier date seems likely. Description: The burin is formed from a small flake of pointed flake, with one long edge. The triangular point has a long edges with some flaking on, which actually has short scaled semi-abrupt retouch at the proximal end (end where the flake was removed) and short edge with scaled short abrupt retouching flattening this edge.
