White patinated flint with cortex. Possible debitage. Flake with striking platform and bulb of percussion on its ventral surface; however, the dorsal surface does not exhibit evidence for controlled flake removal, so this object cannot be firmly associated with tool making (as opposed to preparation of material for such working). Suggested date: Neolithic to Early Bronze Age, 3500-1500 BC. Length: 38.3mm, Width: 30mm, Thickness: 6.6mm, Weight: 8.08gms.

White and pale grey Flint debitage. Long flake with three elongated flake removal scars on its dorsal aspect along with a later chip, and a possible small bulb of percussion at one end on its ventral side, showing where it was subsequently removed from the core. Although shaped as if to make a piercing point, the object bears no retouch to confirm that this use was intended. Reworking would have given a more durable point; though now sharp at its ends, this object would not retain them if it were used as an awl. Suggested date: Late Mesolithic, 8000-4000 BC. Grey slightly cloudy Flint. Debitage. Oval flint with fresh hard-hammer removal of flakes from one surface; damage resulting in the removal of convex flakes, perhaps ancient, occurs on the other face, which is lightly patinated. The freshly worked surfaces all appear very sharp and well-defined. If working indeed took place in antiquity, it was apparently abandoned before this object could be used, and the object must have been removed from a hitherto undisturbed context. Dark blue-black flint with white surface staining, East Coast flint from Glacial Drift. Possibly Debitage as identified by finder; this reporter regards evidence for 'working' as natural damage. Flat ovate fragment of dark flint with chipping all around its edges. The rippling from these chips appears to run inwards from the edge of the object, and probably result from the object rolling in surf. A whitish surface deposit is interrupted by these scars; as this may be salt, this further suggests the object to have been exposed by recent coastal erosion, and the damage to be of recent…
