Grey-buff semi-translucent flint backed blade fragment. Sub-triangular flake with long angled scalar retouch covering the dorsal side and with a bulb at one corner of the ventral surface. The flat edge opposite the bulb and an immediately adjacent smooth positive hinge fracture may have permitted pressure to be brought to bear on what is now an irregular convex cutting edge. Grey-buff flint, possibly collected from the East Coast, backed blade. A thick flake with a broad flake struck from its dorsal side and with a bulb at the narrower end of its ventral surface. Slight misty patina on the dorsal side only may indicate its limited exposure to a calcareous environment. This is interrupted by short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect and following the longest straight edge. Grey-brown flint backed blade. Flake with long narrow parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a bulb at one end of its ventral surface. Patches of misty patina, denser on the ventral side, suggest a subsequent period of exposure to a calcareous environment. The patina is removed by short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal side and following one straight edge. Similar retouch also trims a rounded end to serve as a small scraper. Opaque grey flint backed blade. A D-shaped flint with a convex dorsal surface bearing re-formed cortex and with a bulb at one end of its ventral surface. Very short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect trims cortex along a long convex edge. Broad flakes are also trimmed from the dorsal side by angled retouch trimming further cortex, and producing a straight and now battered edge opposite the convex cutting edge. Subsequently abraded. Pale grey-buff flint backed blade. Thin trapezoid flake with broad flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a bulb, platform and positive hinge fracture on its ventral side. The development of misty patina suggests a subsequent period of exposure to a calcareous environment. The patina was trimmed along one straight edge by very short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral aspect, with the smooth surface of the hinge fracture permitting pressure to be brought to bear on that cutting edge. Angled scalar retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows one long edge, with one or two similar drafts trimming the opposite long edge; retouch may also pass round a curved end. A dense white patina suggests the object subsequently endured prolonged exposure to a calcareous environment. Flint possible backed blade; the finder kindly suggests this to be a possible knife. Thin sub-rectangular flake with broad flakes struck from its dorsal side, and with a flat ventral surface. Very short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral aspect follows one long edge, with the opposite edge left uneven, and was perhaps carried round to the adjacent straight edge. The longer extent of retouch produced serrations on the long edge which are more readily felt than observed.
