Black flint with cortex, probably collected from the East Coast, scraper. Thick flake with cortex trimmed around its edges by hard hammer strike from one side, and with cortex or recortification on the other. Short scalar retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows a gently concave edge, possibly qualifying this as a hollow scraper. Slightly invasive scalar retouch executed from the other side follows an adjacent straight edge, and may also trim the side opposite the hollowed one. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, 2350-1600 BC.

Grey-brown flint with cortex scraper. Plano-convex lump with multi-angular hard hammer working of its dorsal side, followed by short abrupt scalar retouch executed from the dorsal aspect along its curving edge. Invasive angled retouch trims part of the ventral surface, probably to afford more comfortable grip. Heavily battered. Suggested date: Bronze Age, 2350-800 BC.

Grey flint of good quality scraper. Angular lump with broad flakes removed by angled hard hammer strike from the dorsal side and a bulb on the ventral. Very short abrupt retouch follows one straight edge. An originally sharp aris between facets of the dorsal side has been ground or battered to afford a more comfortable grip. The lack of patina may suggest this was incorporated into a sealed context shortly after its manufacture. Suggested date: Bronze Age, 2350-800 BC.

Toffee coloured flint or chert of indifferent quality with a tiny patch of cortex. Probable scraper. This object may be made from a slice of a rod-shaped nodule, and is of gently concavo-convex form. The flake as presumably detached by abrupt hard hammer impact, and was subsequently retouched with pressure flaking on a single continuous curving edge. Black flint possible scraper. A large thick flake with broad flakes struck from its dorsal side by angled hard hammer strike, and with a bulbar ventral surface. A putative working edge [top] is battered. Conchoidal fractures and other edge damage may be naturally formed as these are common on unworked flints from the vicinity. Dark grey flint with cortex; possible core. A long chunk with large flakes removed from three of its four sides by hard hammer strike. The aris between adjacent faces is crisp, and only a small pot lid fracture and a larger conchoidal scar appear to post-date the putative evidence for working. This may argue the recent exposure of this object. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, 2350-1600 BC.

Pale grey flint with cortex, possible debitage. A thick flake with broad flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a concave rippled ventral surface. Pale grey flint barbed and tanged arrowhead. Sub-triangular flake with covering angled scalar retouch across both sides. Black and grey flint with cortex, scraper. Thick flake with broad flakes trimmed from its dorsal side in two episodes, sufficiently removed in time from each other for recortification to have occurred before the secondary working, and with an angular broken or hackled ventral surface. Invasive angled scalar retouch executed from the dorsal aspect appears to have followed a long edge, though conchoidal scars along this edge appear to have been caused by impacts along to that edge rather than working. Dark grey flint, possibly collected from the East Coast, scraper. A thick leaf-shaped flake with broad flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a concave ventral surface with a bulb at one end. Brown flint with cortex, and with a spot of re-formed cortex, debitage. A small thick flake with broad flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a platform at one end of its bulbar ventral surface – where cortex had re-formed. Short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows one straight edge, suggesting a short period of probably improvised use, perhaps of an older flake. Grey flint with a greenish-buff cast, possible debitage. Oval flake with broad flakes struck from its dorsal side by hard hammer, and with a smooth and slightly concave ventral surface.
