Flint possible plano-convex knife ?fragment. A thick flake with a curving cutting edge along one side; angled scalar retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows this curved edge. The ventral surface may be trimmed, and a hinge fracture may assist the definition of the putative cutting edge. A flat surface opposite the cutting edge may have been left as a butt to enable pressure to be exerted on it. An origin as a fragment of a polished flint axe might also be considered, in which case the cutting edge was reused. Creamy patina suggests the object has subsequently endured exposure …

Short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows one straight edge to form the cutting edge. Initially identified as a plano-convex knife; however, Ciorstaidh Hayward Trevarthen kindly comments: 'This lacks the covering, scaled flaking on the dorsal face needed for it to be categorised as a plano convex knife - see here for example Record ID: DOR-F1B3F4 - NEOLI…

Pale grey flint possible debitage. A small thin oval flake with a positive hinge fracture on its dorsal side and a bulb at one end of its ventral surface. Misty white patina has formed over struck surfaces, suggesting the object subsequently endured exposure to a calcareous environment. This is locally removed, probably by adventitious chips. Suggested date: Neolithic, 4000-2350 BC. Length: 24.2mm, Width: 12.8mm, Thickness: 3.1mm, Weight: 0.99gms

Honey-coloured flint possible discoidal knife fragment. A broad flake with broad flakes struck from its dorsal side by angled covering scalar retouch executed with hard hammer, and with a low bulb towards one end of an otherwise flat ventral surface. A curving side appears to represent the cutting edge; the opposite long edge was perhaps indented twice, introducing a crescentic appearance, though this side may have been chipped more recently to achieve this form. One end of the knife is also lost to probably recent damage. Formerly identified as a plano-convex knife; however, Ciorstai…
