Black flint core. Long chunk with long narrow parallel flakes removed by unidirectional working from a flat striking platform. A dense milky patina has developed over struck surfaces indicating the object has subsequently endured exposure to a calcareous environment. Chips of the patina have been lost to more recent adventitious impacts. Suggested date: Late Mesolithic, 7000-4000 BC Height: 55.4mm, Width: 25.4mm, Thickness: 18.7mm, Weight: 33.96gms
