Probably a flint piercer or awl of a Mesolithic to early Neolithic date. The opaque grey and white flint flake is sub-triangular and worked to a point at the distal end. There is some slight retouch on the dorsal face, but most of the neat parallel retouch is on the upper right side of the ventral face. The length is 34.7mm, the width is 22.4mm, the thickness is 8.0mm and the weight is 4.88g.
