A flint scraper formed on a large blade of opaque black flint of uncertain date, 9000 BC - 1000 BC or perhaps, a blank for producing Post Medieval gun flints dating from AD 1600 - 1900. It is a tertiary hard hammer blade with a double dorsal ridge. All four edges are retouched with short, abrupt, scaled removals forming a rectangular scraper. This is more typical of flints from the later Neolithic onwards. Though the blade is the right size for a Mesolithic group A microlith, the shape and working do not match.
