An incomplete lead and iron steelyard weight of possible Roman date. It is biconical in shape with the corroded remains of an iron rod protruding from either end. Although steelyard weights were in use from the Roman to post-medieval periods, biconical examples with iron extending from both ends tend to be of Roman date. Length: 27.55mm, diameter: 26.32mm, weight: 66.43g
