An incomplete struck gunflint dating to the post-medieval period. The gunflint is rectangular in plan and trapezoidal in section with broad flakes removed from the dorsal side and with short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect trimming its edges. The thin end of the gunflint has extensive post-deposition damage. Flintlock guns were in use in France by c. AD 1600 and it is likely that this example dates from c. AD 1650 - 1850.
