A particularly fine near complete flint leaf shaped arrowhead dating to the Neolithic c.4000-2400 cal BC. The arrowhead is made from a tertiary flake of dark grey flint that has occasional light grey patch inclusions. It has a semi glossy patina. The arrowhead can be described as a willow leaf shaped arrowhead. The base has damaged by an irregular break that runs diagonally upwards and to one side of the body that has also removed the base. An incomplete late Neolithic polished and flaked axehead dating c.3300-2200 BC. Only the butt end survives. The axe appears to have been reworked with most of the polishing surface removed, the grinding and polishing is restricted to the lateral edges (rounded) and to the high points of the flake scars. The axehead is worked from a dark and pale grey patinated flint with a few spots of iron staining to both faces, the cutting edge has broken in antiquity and an attempt at reshaping the edge has been roughly knapped at the break. A small portion of the cortex r…

It is sub-rectangular in plan and roughly trapezoidal in cross-section. It has been manufactured from a grey flint core by striking long flakes. The dorsal face is faceted, having a central longitudinal scar flanked by two parallel scars. The ventral face is flat except for a bulb of percussion at proximal end. The surfaces are covered by a blueish white patina with small light brown mottled patches. There is evidence of retouch…

A complete knapped lithic scraper implement of Neolithic to Bronze Age date (c. 2500 - 700 BC). Description: The implement is a scraper, designed to be held between the thumb and forefinger, formed from a tertiary flake which is D-shaped in plan and section with a blunt end abrupt. The ventral surface is smooth with bulbar scar. There is some concretion adhering to the ventral surface possibly because this tool has been in an underground waterway. The dorsal surface displays vertical parallel scars and conchoidal ripple marks. Again there is concretion and possible breakdown of t…
