Small waste flint, probably from tool knapping. The flint is quite small and of dark brown colour. The surface and edges are still crisp and seem hardly worn at all. Although there may be signs of retouch, there are no traces of patination or further working. Because of its size and doubtful origin it is classed here as waste flake or debitage.

Two flake scars on the dorsal surface, and low angle short retouch along both edges. The tool is broken after just 23.12mm, but was probably blade shaped. Probably neolithic. A Neolithic polished flint axe. The axe is 152.2mm long, 62.6mm wide and 28mm thick. It weighs 338g. The axe is a tapering sub-rectangular shape and is ovoid in section with a flat facet at each end of the oval. The curved cutting edge is in good condition but there is some damage to the narrow end and a little of the end is missing. The damage at the haft end appears to be post depositional, but is not very recent, as the break is patinated. A flint barbed and tanged arrowhead dating from the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age period of 2500 - 1500 BC. The arrowhead is 27mm long and 25mm wide. It has pointed tangs and a fairly square end to the tang. It may be a Sutton type. It is invasively retouched and has been carefully worked. The flint is a light orangey grey colour and appears to be completely patinated. Barbed and tanged arrowheads are frequently found in graves containing Beaker vessels. A flint axe of Neolithic date. The axe is sub-rectangular in plan, tapering only slightly towards the rounded butt. It is pointed oval in section, the greatest thickness being at the centre point. The top half of one face and the the bottom part of the opposite face show that the flint surface was originally polished smooth. The fact that the remainder of the surfaces are lower than these smooth areas and show numerous flake removal scars suggests that the axe was re-worked at some point in its life. A re-touched flint flake tool of possible Neolithic date. The tool has been made from a broad flake of roughly semi-circular form. A bulb-of-percussion is visible at the top. There is re-touching along the rounded bottom edge and mid way up the jagged vertical edge. The opposite vertical edge retains the original flint cortex. The tool measures 41.2mm long, 30.9mm wide and 11.8mm thick. The weight is 16.4g.

A probable flint thumb nail scraper which is Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age in date. The scraper is rounded and is 22.8mm long, 20.4mm wide and 5.5mm thick. There is semi-abrupt retouch along the distal end and right hand side, and possible retouch or use wear on the left hand side. The flint is mid brown in colour and is hardly patinated.
