One platform has been truncated by the removal from the second platform, resulting in a wedge shaped end. There may have been an attempt to rejuvenate the second platform prior to discarding it. It bares a resemblance to a large scraper, although the scaping edge is quite irregular with three (now slightly) damaged sharp projections and is unlikely to have functioned as such. The object utilises the fore-section (cutting edge) of the axehead, originally with a lenticular cross-section, faceted edges and curved cutting edge. The removal scars indicate multi-directional working of long thin blades or flakes. The core measures 13.58mm long, 25.76mm wide, 15.59mm thick and weighs 5.52g. The core probably dates to the Mesolithic to early Neolithic periods (-10000 - -2200).

Acomplete flint core of probable Neolithic to early Bronze Age date. It is roughly semi-circular in shape with cortex still covering the ventral face. There is no obvious butt and bult of percussion, suggesting that it was formed on a natural fragment of flint. The dorsal face is highly convex with small, narrow flaking scars running inwards from the centre. It appears to be too crude to have been used as a scraper and instead seems to have been a core from which small flakes were produced. A dark grey bifacially worked secondary flint keeled core. Cortex remains on the central areas of both faces and iron staining is visible on some ridges. High gloss patina with an irregualr discoidal shape. There are two platforms at acute angles to one another. Multiple broad flake removal scars are visible across both faces.
