A flint core and chert scraper found in close proximity dating to the Neolithic to Early Bronze Age period, c. 3000-1800 BC.
The core is a dark brownish-black in colour, with large amounts of pitting and speckling across the surface. Long rectilinear removals suggest it may have been used in blade production. It is D-shaped in section and loosely rectangular in shape.
The scraper is formed of a mid-orange chert, and is triangular in shape and a trapezoidal in section. There is clear, coarse, semi-abrubt retouch around the outer perimeter of the scraper.

Fragment of a flint core. The piece has a large indent on one side still covered in cortex. It has been worked around this flaw in the flint to remove small blades and flakes from several directions.
