Early Neolithic (c. 4,000 to 2351 BC) microlith knapped from a mottled dark grey flint hich has a waxy texture. The dorsal surface has two vertical scars, and there is a trace of a white patina suggesting the it has been made from an older flake.A lateral edge has retouch along its length which is abrupt and short. The distal end appears to have been purposely truncated.
It measures 34.46mm long, 10.67mm wide, 5.98mm thick and weighs 2.58g.
This is probably an early Neolithic serrated blade (Butler, 2005;130).

Proximal end of a tertiary blade, distal end broken transversely in antiquity, mottled flint now patinated pale brown, fine edge wear and recent damage to both lateral edges. 36 x 17 x 4.5 mm. Possibly Early Neolithic.
Secondary semi-hard hammer struck blade, steep,scaled retouch to the non-cortex edge. 42 x 16 x 4 mm. Neolithic.

57 mid-size blades and blade-like flakes, mostly tertiary with a few secondary, nearly all are hard hammer struck with only three being soft hammer struck. Recent edge damage to most and little ancient retouch noted. Some are unpatinated black and mottled grey flint, but most have a pale patination to some degree. Largest: 65 x 26 x 15 mm. Smallest: 33 x 16 x 4 mm. 329 g in total.

An irregularly shaped probable flint blade of Neolithic to Bronze Age date.
Description: The object is irregularly shaped wiht a long thin blade and a wider square butt. It is formed from a secondary flake with some cortex still remaing at the butt end. The blade is formed from short abrupt retouch which produces shoulders with the butt. the back of the blade is formed by similar crushed short scaled abrupt retouch. All the object's rippling is produced from the hard hammer technique shwo by prominant conchoidal rippling and the ventral face's bulb of percussion.

Flint blade, probably a blade of later Neolithic or early Bronze Age date, c3000 - 1500BC. The hard hammer tertiary flake is of dark grey flint, roughly triangular in shape, and is shallowly triangular in end-on cross-section. There is a notch at one side which is possibly where it has been reshaped and used as a scraper. It has two facets on the dorsal face, with bifacial low angle retouch which is stepped along the un-notched side, and there is a pronounced bulb of percussion with ripple marks on the ventral face.
It measures a maximum of 70.2 mm long by 32.9 mm wide by 8.4 mm …

29 small light grey patinated blades and blade-like flakes, mostly semi-hard hammer struck with a small bulb of percussion and no bulbar scars, some baring transverse breaks, seven are recent breaks with the original mid-grey colour of the flint showing. It is tempting to date these to the Mesolithic period, although there is no evidence of manufacture of microliths and a lack of soft hammer percussion so a possible date of Early Neolithic is likely.
