A fragment of a flint Neolithic (c.4000-2350 BC) polished axehead. Only the cutting end survives. The break is old and at a diagonal angle to the cutting edge. The fragment measures 38.7mm long, 64.2mm wide and 24.5mm thick. It weighs 56.68g. The fragment is lenticular in section. The axehead has been completely polished by grinding. The surface of the axehead is almost completely covered in white and pale grey patination (including along the broken edge). More recent damage is slightly darker in colour. There are patches and lines of iron staining on both faces.

A fragment of a flint Neolithic polished axe head broken and possibly untilised as a core or a scraper dating to the period c. 4000-2350 BC. The original axe head was a Clough type B lenticular or double-convex polished axe head. The break was then used as a striking platform for the removal of bladelets. Three arrises are visible on the dorsal side of the axe-head. Part of the original cutting edge is still visible along the distal edge, however, the majority of the distal edge has been invasively retouched, removing the cutting edge and squaring the chunk off.

Neolithic polished axehead of orange flint. The object weighs 148.45g, is 150mm long, has a cutting edge 42mm wide and has a maximum thickness of 20mm. It is compete but slightly damaged. The cutting edge has one large chip, and a section of the butt is missing. Flakes have been removed along the length of the axe. Incomplete (about half, the hafting end) Neolithic flint axehead, measuring 80x42x22.5mm and weighing 87.64g. The complete end is the narrowest part at 27mm wide (the widest end is at the break). Running the length of both edges is a 6-7mm wide flat area. On one side this appears to be a natural edge. The other seems to have been struck this way, perhaps in imitation. Both faces of the axehead have been chipped/ worked.

Neolithic polished axehead with a 'waisted' butt end. It is 132mm long and the cutting edge is the widest point at 56.5mm wide. The butt end is 26mm wide and 15mm thick, the waist being c.10mm below it and 27mm wide. Immediately below this point it expands to 30mm wide. The maximum thickness of the axe is 27mm, just before it approaches the cutting end, where both faces thin and curve to the cutting edge. Neolithic flint 'chipped' axehead, 159mm x 51mm x 32mm. The patina is milky-white and c.20% of a grey cortex survives on the surface. Traces of iron staining are also visible. The axehead is somewhat flatter on one side than the other, rising to a max height of c.13mm from the outside edge, while the other surface rises to 23mm. A chip at the wider end (the cutting edge) shows a yellowy-brown colour, while a chip on the edge near the opposite end shows a black colour.
