Fragment of Neolithic polished axehead, consisting of the butt end. It measures 68.4mm in incomplete length, would have been c.53mm wide at the break (one side is badly damaged) and is 29mm wide at the rounded (slightly damaged) butt end. It weighs 93.78g. It maximum width is 48.2mm and its maximum thickness is 25.9mm.
The axehead is lenticular in section with faceted sides, starting c.25mm from the butt end. At the break the undamaged side stands c.8mm high.
The flint is light grey in colour with 70% medium patination. Iron staining is visible on both faces and a patch of cortex…

The dorsal distal end has been steeply pressure flaked. there is additional pressure flaking on the upper left dorsal edge and possibly the right dorsal edge, though the latter is obscured by more recent damage.
The flint is almost 100% patinated with bluey patches of flint beneath and spots of iron staining on the dorsal face only. There is a patch of 5% cortex on the striking plaform.

Neolithic partly polished small flint sub-triangular ('drop-shaped' or 'hachette') axehead of an orange/ brown coloured flint, measuring 104.4x(max)67.8x33.1mm and weighing 265.36g.
The axehead has light patination over the majority of its surface, but in some areas this is lost due to flakes being removed, on one side in particular. Both sides show iron staining, particularly along the arrises.
The butt end, the narrowest part, is damaged and 30.5mm wide before the damage. The damage shows a richer orange flint beneath.

A piece of retouched flint, unstruck and probably formed by the cutting down of a larger flint object, possibly an axehead. It is triangular in shape, measuring 50.6x29.7(min.9.2)x13.7mm and weighs 18.9g.
The widest edge has retouch on one face showing a dark grey flint beneath heavy patination. The object narrows from here to the rounded point. Both faces are heavily patinated with flakes removed, although only the face with the retouched edge has more signs of retouch where flakes have been removed close to the point and along one edge.

Late Neolithic part-polished axehead in grey, patinated flint. It measures 158mm in length with a 41.8mm wide cutting edge and 17.4mm wide butt end. Its maximum thickness is 21.4mm roughly at the central point of the axehead. It is lenticular in section, though one face is rather more rounded than the other.
