A collection of 12 waste flint flakes found during a fieldwalking exercise. The forms vary but the flints generally have a striking platform at the top, a single bulb of percussion and rippling scars. None have been retouched. This flint working debitage is consistent with Neolithic flint working technologies. The flakes range in weight from 5.76g to 11.82g. The total weight of the assemblage is 102.09g.

Crudely made flint scraper of probable early Neolithic date. Irregular in shape with retouching of the bottom end (see photo). The reverse is unworked. Measures 25.5mm high by 31.2mm wide and 16.9mm thick. Weight = 13.72g.

Collection of flint debitage from fieldwalking exercise. Assemblage consists of 10 flakes, ranging in weight from 4.1g to 19.96g. All appear to be consistent with Neolithic flint working technologies. They are generally sub-oval or elongated in shape, with a flat striking platform at the top, a single bulb of percussion and rippling scars. None have been retouched. The total weight of the assemblage is 117.69g.

Fragment of retouched flint blade of probable early Neolithic date. The implement is 15.3mm wide and 4.1mm thick with a trapezoidal section. The remaining length is 25.9mm. The upper surface has been formed by the removal of small vertical flakes. The left hand side (as you look at it, with the squared off broken end at the top) is unworked, whilst the right hand side and bottom have been retouched to give a serrated edge. Weight = 2.31g.

Flint scraper of probable Early Neolithic date. Basic shape has been formed by the removal of four vertical flakes. There is evidence of retouching around the bottom of the object and along the left hand side (as you look at it). A small area at the top is unworked. The reverse is unworked except for a bulb of percussion at the top. The piece measures 34.5mm high by 31mm wide and 12.3mm thick. Weight = 18g.

Fragment of polished flint axe of Neolithic date. Fragment measures 38.7mm long by 32mm wide and 19.6mm thick and comprises the blade and lower part of the body. Flint colour varies between white and dark grey. The surface of the axe has been well-polished. There is significant post-depositional damage to the blade. Weight = 20.37g.

A collection of 30 waste flint flakes. The total weight of the assemblage is 342.35g and the flints vary greatly in dimensions. The largest is 39.1mm high by 35.2mm wide and 13.6mm thick and weighs 27.23g. All of the flints have clear bulbs of percussion and rippling. Their forms suggest that they are Neolithic in date. They are all waste flakes with no re-touching.
