Flint scraper of broad Neolithic date (4000 - 2200 BC). The flint is brown in colour and on each side the surface is patinated to white. It is sub-oval in plan and flat-elliptical in cross-section. There is covering, scaled, low angle, retouch to both the dorsal and ventral faces and some short, sub-parallel, semi-abrupt retouch round most of the edges. This retouching interrupts the patina suggesting the flint was reused at a later date. The flint is 24.3mm long x 27.9mm wide x 3.9mm thick and weighs 2.8g.
