Early Neolithic to early Bronze Age partially patinated brown flint blade. It has a series of four small shallow notches down one side, and two less obvious ones on the other side. It has been very finely knapped (the thickness never exceeds 2.5mm even at the butt end), appears unbroken, and yet has retouches and wear polish. This suggests a long lived tool that was probably used for fairly light activities, possibly the removal of bark. Dates to between c4000 and c1600 BC.
