A complete knapped lithic implement of uncertain date, probably Neolithic to Bronze Age, circa 4000 BC - 1000 BC. The implement is a piece of debitage, or waste material, produced during the knapping process. It is sub-ovate in plan and sub-D-shaped in section. The bulb of percussion and striking platform remain on the ventral surface from which ripples of percussion radiate. The dorsal surface is irregular with flakes of varying sizes having been removed using a hard hammer. No retouch is present. The flint is a light grey colour with iron staining on the surface. The implement i…

Flint debitage dating from c. 10,000 - 801 BC. The flint is leaf-shaped with a rounded end and a point. The ventral face is largely flat and smooth with visible bulb of percussion at the pointed end. The dorsal face is bulbous at the wider end and narrower towards the point. There may be some slight retouching along the edges on the dorsal face but this is neither extensive or consistent suggesting that this piece was discarded before it was finished. Some cortex remains on the bulbous section of the dorsal face. Otherwise, there are a number of flat sections where flakes have been st…
