A complete Neolithic retouched flint flake, 3500-2100 BC. The flake is roughly lozenge shaped with three negative scars and corresponding arrises. There is a high degree of retouch to all its edges including some to the arrises dorsally. Two distinct points are evident in the middle of the right hand side and centrally on the distal end, this could have facilitated its use as a burin. Additional flaking is evident at the proximal end of the flake. The flake is oval in profile. The ventral surface and convex and smooth with a bulb of percussion approximately half way up the right hand …

Complete rounded flint scraper, dating within the period from the Mesolithic to the Bronze Age (c. 10000 - 1600 BC). The flint is broadly circular in plan, with a straight edge along its proximal edge. The ventral face is flat and smooth, with an angled lozenge-shaped striking platform at the proximal end. The dorsal face is convex; it has short, semi-abrupt retouch covering 75% of its distal end and sides. The flint is dark grey mottled with white. It is 33.68mm in length, 29.07mm in width and 10.11mm in thickness. It weighs 12.22g. Flint scrapers of this form are fairly ubiquitou…

Complete rounded flint scraper, dating within the period from the Mesolithic to the Bronze Age (c. 10000 - 1600 BC). The flint is broadly triangular in plan. The ventral face is flat and smooth, with an angled lozenge-shaped striking platform at the proximal end and a shallow bulb of percussion below it. The dorsal face is convex and retains much of its cortex. It has short, semi-abrupt retouch covering 75% of its distal end and sides on the dorsal face and short, semi-abrupt retouch along the proximal edge on the ventral face. It is possible that these represent two periods of retouc…
