Object type: AXEHEAD
Broad period: NEOLITHIC

Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
A small light grey mottled sub-triangular tool, probably a miniature axe or possibly a keeled core reworked from a larger ground and polished. The axe hasmid gloss patina and light recortification with some localised ferrous staining. One face has generally steep to moderately steep flaking on all edges with a large area of former polished axe surface preserved. The edges are relatively straight but do not appear to have been intended to be very sharp, one edge retains a very small area of ground axe surface.
