A lithic impliment of uncertain function but probably from the Neolithic to Bronze age period. Circa 4000-1600 BC. The flint is sub-conical in shape, triangular in profile and has numerous flake removals from different angles. The distal end has a series of parallel scars (retouch). The proximinal end has no clear evidence of bulb of percussion and flake removal extends into and probably beyond the butt. This seems to have broken at this point in antiquity. The distal end is rounded, possibly due to damage in use, and the butt end has a small buld of percussion. Atertiary flint waste flake of mid-grey opaque colour, probably dating from the Neolithic period to Early Bronze Age (circa 4000 BC-2200 BC ). The Dorsal face has three longitudinal flake removals which are highlighted with iron staining to the ridges. The distal end and working edge appear to be damaged with the back retouched to form a flat back edge. The ventral face has a bulb of percussion with very slight rippling. Late Neolithic to late Bronze Age D shaped flint scraper manufactured on previously worked flint. Struck from a tertiary flake, it has a patinated white exterior with mid grey core. The flint was probably originally upper Paleolithic to early Mesolithic debitage or a broken tool, subsequently reworked, probably during the Bronze Age, but possibly in the late Neolithic. At least two phases of retouching are evident so it may well have been reused twice. Final use as a tool dates to between c2700 and c1600 BC. Length is 41mm, width 48mm, depth 12mm, and the weight 29.4g.

An incomplete flaked flint chisel. Grey flint with a thick, off-white matt patina. There is also iron staining over much of the surface, particularly along the ridges. The chisel is long and thin. It is broadly rectangular, tapering only slightly towards the butt. The butt has been snapped off and the flint has re-patinated to a mottled milky white. The chisel has a lentoid profile. It has been extensively flaked along the edges on both faces. The cutting edge is unsharpened and has been formed by the removal of small flakes. A bifacially worked flint tool which could loosely be termed a discoidal knife. The flint is pale grey with a heavy, matt, off-white patina and considerable iron staining. The implement is sub-circular in plan and has numerous flake removal scars on both faces. The flaking is mainly from the edges of the implement. The continuous cutting edge is straight,.The dorsal face is convex and the ventral face is much flatter, producing a plano-convex profile. A small side scraper. A medial segment from a secondary flake of mid grey flint with sparse white mottles and a mid gloss patina. The proximal and distal ends are both broken off. There are distinct waves of percussion on the ventral face. There is a large area oif abraded pebble cortex and a large flake removal scar on the dorsal face. Part of the edge at the distal end has been retouched with invasive flaking from the ventral face. Date: Late Neolithic-Early Bronze Age 3500- 1500 BC.
