Dark blue-black flint with white surface staining, East Coast flint from Glacial Drift.
Possibly Debitage as identified by finder; this reporter regards evidence for 'working' as natural damage. Flat ovate fragment of dark flint with chipping all around its edges. The rippling from these chips appears to run inwards from the edge of the object, and probably result from the object rolling in surf. A whitish surface deposit is interrupted by these scars; as this may be salt, this further suggests the object to have been exposed by recent coastal erosion, and the damage to be of recent…
