An incomplete Bronze Age flint barbed and tanged arrowhead, dating to 2500-1500 BC. The arrowhead is made from a tertiary flake of pale brown flint with a low gloss patina. One of the barbs is missing. Both faces have covering ,invasive pressure flaking. The majority of the arrowhead remains, it has one complete barb and the tang is intact. A barbed and tanged flint arrowhead, 31mm in length, dating to the early Bronze Age / Beaker period (c. 2500 BC-c. 1500 BC) and made from a pale brown flint. The arrowhead is triangular with lenticular cross-section and has scaled and low angle retouch on both sides. The barbs are longer than the tang and convex on the outer edges with obliquely angled tips (Type C) and the tang is narrow and rounded (Type G).  This example fits into the sub-classification of non-Fancy B&T arrowheads best described as Green Low types (Butler 2005: 162-165, after Green (1980).

An incomplete knapped lithic barbed and tanged arrowhead of early Bronze Age date, c.2500 - 1500 BC. Sutton B Type. The arrowhead is formed from a tertiary flake of pale brown flint which is bi-facially worked with covering, scaled, low angled removals on all surfaces. It is sub-triangular in plan with two triangular notches in the base forming the central tang with a barb to either side. The base of the tang and barbs are pointed. A complete barbed and tanged flint arrowhead, probably dating between the Early and Middle Bronze Age c. (2350-1000 B.C.). Incomplete flint barbed and tanged arrowhead of the Beaker-Middle Bronze Age period, 2400 - 1000 BC.
